Erin Carter is an actress and filmmaker currently splitting time between Montréal and Toronto. She is a graduate of the Canadian Film Centre’s Actors Conservatory, and studied comedy at The Upright Citizens Brigade. Her credits include CBC's 'Pretty Hard Cases', Jordan Canning's award winning feature 'Suck It Up', Vincent Biron's Les Barbares de la Malbaie', season two of Kinda TV's 'Barbelle', and many independent short films including:'Mine Is Yours' (BFI Flare Festival), 'BONFIRE' (LA Shorts Fest, Short of The Week) and 'Soft Spot' (Inside Out- Best Canadian short 2019).
Erin started writing and producing in 2014 with 'BONFIRE', a short made with a few fellow friends and collaborators, equally ready to take their careers into their own hands. A short she wrote and starred in, 'Soft Spot', took home Best Canadian Short at Toronto's Inside Out Festival. She helped develop and executive produce the WIDC award winning feature film 'Suck It Up', and her feature writing debut, 'Hazy Little Thing', can now be found on Super Channel .
Erin's directorial work can also be seen in 'Darkside'(2019, Cucalorus, Oaxaca) and 'Medium Young', which premiered at Inside Out Festival 2022.
